Terms & Conditions

Version 2.0 Effective 11 July 2026

This version replaces all previous terms. The version you accepted at checkout governs your subscription.

Section 0

The Short Version: you only pay for what you use.

You try MentorMD free

Before you pay anything. Nobody buys blind.

Leave whenever you want

You get back the days you haven't used and the meetings you never booked. One formula. No negotiation, no "manager", no argument.

Life got in the way? Pause for free

Up to 60 days. No reason required.

What you don't get back

A day a mentor showed up for you, or a slot you booked and burned.

01

General

1.1These Terms govern all services provided by MentorMD ("we", "us"), operating from the Arab Republic of Egypt.

1.2By completing payment you confirm you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms, and in particular the Refund Policy in Section 5.

1.3These Terms are versioned. The version in force for you is the one you accepted at checkout, recorded with a timestamp against your student file. Later changes are never applied retroactively to a month you have already paid for.

1.4These Terms are published in Arabic and English. In case of conflict, the Arabic text governs.

02

The Free Trial

2.1Every prospective mentee is offered a free trial before any money is taken. No card. No deposit. No commitment.

2.2The free trial is our risk reversal. It exists so nobody pays for MentorMD without first experiencing exactly what MentorMD is: a mentor, a plan, and a daily check-in.

2.3By paying, you confirm you were offered the free trial and made an informed decision.

03

What We Provide

3.1MentorMD provides human USMLE mentorship: a personalised study plan, daily accountability check-ins, scheduled 1-on-1 meetings with your mentor, performance review, and ongoing correction of your plan.

Daily accountability includes coming after you when you go quiet. That is not a bonus. It is the thing you are buying.

3.2Two monthly packages:

Package Included each month
Standard Daily check-ins · 2 × 30-minute 1-on-1 meetings · bi-weekly planning
Premium Daily check-ins · 4 × 30-minute 1-on-1 meetings · weekly planning · priority support

Prices for your region are shown at checkout. A subscription runs for one calendar month from the date of payment and does not renew automatically.

3.3MentorMD is a mentorship service. Not a question bank. Not a video course. Not a content library. We do not sell you material — we hold you accountable to a plan.

3.4We may improve how we deliver the service. We will never reduce the scope of what you have already paid for during a month in progress.

3.5Legacy packages. If you are on a package we no longer offer, your original package terms continue for its remaining duration, and every refund protection in Section 5 applies to you in full.

04

Your Responsibilities

4.1The daily check-in. The daily check-in is the product. It is your side of this agreement, not an optional extra. If you stop checking in, we cannot mentor you — and Section 9 applies.

4.2Attendance. Attend your booked meetings, or reschedule with at least 24 hours' notice. See Section 6.

4.3Honest information. Give your mentor accurate scores, hours and progress. We can only correct what we can see. Falsifying your progress data is a breach of these Terms.

4.4Respect. Disrespect or harassment of a mentor, a member of staff, or another mentee ends the mentorship immediately — and your refund is still calculated normally under 5.2. We do not keep the money of people we have had to remove.

05

Payment and Refund Policy

5.1Payment. Fees are paid in full before the month begins. You receive a receipt for every payment, showing the date, amount, package, and the dates it covers.

5.2The refund formula. There is one formula. It applies to every exit, on every day, for every reason.

The Refund Formula

Refund = ( Daily value × days remaining ÷ days in the month )
+ ( Meeting value × meetings never booked )

Any fraction is rounded up, in your favour.

Where the values come from. The daily value and the meeting value for your package are printed on your receipt and published on the pricing page. They are not arbitrary — they are derived from the price of the package itself, so that on day one, with nothing booked, the formula returns exactly what you paid.

Days remaining = the days in your month, minus the days that have passed.

"Booked" means booked — attended or not.

When you take a slot on your mentor's calendar, that half-hour is gone. Another student was turned away for it. Whether you show up is your business; the slot is spent either way. A booked meeting is a used meeting.

The one exception: reschedule with 24+ hours' notice and the slot returns to the pool in time for someone else. Nothing is counted against you and you keep the meeting.

5.3Pause — use this instead of asking for a refund.

Once per subscription: pause for up to 60 days. Free. For any reason.

Exams. Work. Family. Illness. Burnout. You justify it to nobody. Tell your mentor. Your remaining days and unbooked meetings are held, and resume when you do.

Almost every refund request we receive is really a pause request. Ask for the pause.

5.4Wellbeing withdrawal. If your mentor or MentorMD believes that continuing is harming your health or wellbeing, we may end the mentorship. Your refund is calculated under 5.2, without argument, and we will help point you toward proper support.

Not a penalty. Not a judgement. Not held against you if you come back.

5.5What we do not refund:

  • Exam results, scores, Match outcomes, ECFMG or visa outcomes.
  • Days on which mentorship was delivered.
  • Meetings you booked (Section 6).

That is the whole list. Everything else, you get back.

5.6Payment disputes and chargebacks. If you have a problem, contact us. We always answer — and 5.2 means the number is already decided before you ask. There is nothing to win by fighting.

Chargebacks without contacting us first

Filing a bank chargeback or payment dispute without contacting us first results in immediate termination, a permanent ban from all MentorMD programmes, and we will contest the dispute using our delivery records.

06

Meetings, Booking, and Slots

6.1Meetings are 30 minutes. Standard includes 2 a month, Premium includes 4. They do not roll over.

6.2A booked slot is a spent slot. Your mentor holds that half-hour for you and turns another student away. Whether you attend is up to you — the slot is gone either way, and 5.2 counts it.

6.3Reschedule with 24+ hours' notice and the slot is released in time for someone else. The meeting is not counted against you, and you keep it.

6.4Cancel with less than 24 hours' notice, or don't show up → the meeting is used. No replacement.

6.5You may hold a maximum of 2 live bookings at any one time. Book the next once the previous has happened. This keeps mentor calendars open for the people who need them this week.

6.6We ask you to confirm each meeting 24 hours before. No confirmation → the slot is released back to the pool and the meeting returns to your allowance.

6.7Two no-shows in one month and we will contact you to decide together whether continuing makes sense — regardless of your check-in record.

07

Results

7.1MentorMD guarantees process, not outcome. We do not, and never will, promise you a score, a pass, or a Match. Anyone who does is lying to you.

7.2What you get out of mentorship is a function of what you put in. We will always tell you the truth about that — including when the truth is uncomfortable.

08

Confidentiality and Data

8.1What you tell your mentor stays between you, your mentor, and MentorMD's internal team.

8.2We record your check-ins, meeting bookings and performance data. This is how mentorship works — we cannot correct what we do not record. It is also what we use to calculate 5.2, and what we rely on if there is ever a dispute between us.

8.3We will not publish your identity, your scores, or your messages, and we will not confirm publicly that you were a MentorMD student. This holds even if you speak about us publicly. Your privacy is not conditional on your good opinion of us.

8.4Use of your data is governed by our Privacy Policy.

09

Ending the Mentorship

9.1You may stop at any time. Section 5.2 tells you exactly what comes back.

9.2We may end the mentorship if you stop engaging with it, or for breach of these Terms, harassment (4.4), falsified data (4.3), or wellbeing grounds (5.4). Section 5.2 applies in every one of those cases.

9.3We will always tell you why, directly and in writing.

10

Liability

10.1MentorMD provides mentorship. Responsibility for studying, for booking your exam, and for the outcome lies with you.

10.2We are not liable for technical failures outside our control (your connection, third-party platforms). A meeting lost to a verified technical failure on our side is rescheduled at no cost and is not counted as booked.

11

Changes to These Terms

11.1We may update these Terms. The version you accepted at checkout governs your current month. Changes take effect from your next renewal, and we will tell you before they do.

12

Governing Law

12.1These Terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, including Consumer Protection Law No. 181 of 2018 and its Executive Regulations. Nothing here removes any right you hold under that law.

12.2We will always try to resolve a dispute directly and in good faith first. Contact us. We answer.

By completing payment, you confirm you have read and agreed to these Terms and to the Refund Policy in Section 5.

We are not here to sell you something and leave you alone with it.

No one fights alone.

Questions? Talk to us — we answer.
